Phil Crane

Chief Executive Officer
With over 20 years of experience in NHS payer engagement and sub-national market access, Phil Crane is a recognised expert in navigating the complexities of the UK healthcare system. He has led the market access function for a global life sciences company and most recently served as Managing Director of a strategic consultancy in the same field.
Phil has worked with more than 60 pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, giving him a deep understanding of both the commercial landscape and the internal challenges organisations face. Known for his data-driven approach and clear strategic thinking, he brings a proven track record of shaping and executing effective access strategies across primary, secondary, and tertiary care.

Claire Broughton

Legal Director

Claire brings fifteen years commercial legal experience in the pharmaceutical industry having worked for small owner-managed businesses to international PLCs. She specialises in providing strategic legal support that aligns with business objectives, helping companies mitigate risk and seize opportunities.

Her expertise extends beyond traditional legal counsel. During a period of unprecedented change and a global pandemic, she led a human resources department, managing a successful business buyout and integration. This experience gave her a unique perspective on the operational challenges and human element of corporate change.

Claire provides pragmatic, results-oriented advice that empowers businesses to thrive in a complex and highly regulated environment.

Alan Simpson

Finance Director

Alan is a highly commercial finance manager with a proven track record enhancing and realising shareholder value in a wide range of situations.

He spent eight years as Management Accountant and Group Financial Controller of Safetynet, a business continuity provider, playing a leading role in a £85m management buyout and subsequent trade sale at £170m.

After more than fifteen years commercial finance experience, five of those at a senior level, Alan set up his own practice, Value Add, in 2003. His practice offers Expert Financial Management to a broad range of clients including several in pharma services, advising principally on funding, forecasting and planning for start-up and high growth phase companies.

Alan has been a member of The Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT) since 1990 and qualified with The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA) in 1993. He is a CIMA registered Member In Practice.

Currently working as a freelance EMEA Health Solutions Lead, Rajnee has led key initiatives in Neuroscience, Immunology and CDS. Her extensive career includes senior roles in leading companies such as Janssen, AstraZeneca and Sanofi, where she demonstrated strong business acumen, regional networking, and the ability to influence and motivate teams. Known for her empathetic listening and ability to motivate others, she is highly driven to achieve ambitious goals and tackle new challenges.
